Both lime and magnetite additions increased coke reactivity. It was found that the reactivity of lime added SHO cokes increased with increasing Ca content in the cokes. The reactivity of Fe containing SHO cokes increased with increasing Fe content in the cokes. However, the Ca addition had a much larger effect on coke reactivity, nearly doubling the coke reactivity compared to the Fe addition. The effect of the Ca addition on reactivity is likely to be accentuated by the dispersion of small Ca particles through the coke, which increased the mineral-carbon contact area.]]> Tue 20 Jul 2021 18:57:31 AEST ]]> Novel optical image analysis coke characterisation and its application to study of the relationships between coke structure, coke strength and parent coal composition https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:34185 Tue 19 Feb 2019 11:34:18 AEDT ]]> Understanding the impact of coal blending decisions on the prediction of coke quality: a data mining approach https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:43779 Thu 29 Sep 2022 10:10:50 AEST ]]> A fractographic and tribological approach to understanding coke strength https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:24267 Thu 17 Nov 2016 14:38:51 AEDT ]]> Tribological approach to investigate the interface properties in metallurgical coke https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:31254 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:43:58 AEDT ]]> Influence of thermoplastic properties on coking pressure generation: part 3 - evidence and role of pore coalescence in the mechanism for pressure generation https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:19028 Sat 24 Mar 2018 08:05:27 AEDT ]]> Influence of thermoplastic properties on coking pressure generation: part IV - further evidence of the role of bubble coalescence in the mechanism for pressure generation https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:20614 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:55:49 AEDT ]]> Petrographic analysis and characterisation of a blast furnace coke and its wear mechanisms https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:30693 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:35:07 AEDT ]]> Fractographic approach to metallurgical coke failure analysis.
